What exactly is ZEQIO?

ZEQIO is the Factory Intelligence and Industrial IoT software brand of Eromex Industri AB. It connects machines, molds, sensors and production systems into one platform. TOOLWATCH is the first product built on ZEQIO — a Production Intelligence System focused on injection molding, machine performance and mold life.

Is TOOLWATCH the same thing as ZEQIO?

Accepted Answer

No. ZEQIO is the platform and brand; TOOLWATCH is one product within it. More ZEQIO products — analytics, quality and energy — are on the roadmap and will share the same data foundation, hardware and user management.

Do you need to modify our machine PLC?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, no. ZEQIO Edge devices read data passively over OPC-UA, Modbus or dedicated sensors and digital I/O. Existing machine safety and control logic remains untouched, which keeps machine warranties and CE conformity intact.

Which machines and protocols are supported?

Accepted Answer

Injection molding machines from all major manufacturers, plus presses and auxiliary equipment. Supported protocols include OPC-UA, MQTT (Sparkplug-B compatible), Modbus TCP and RTU, EUROMAP 63/77 where available, plus digital and analog I/O for machines that expose nothing else.

How does mold and tool life tracking work?

Each mold gets a TOOLWATCH identity with a defined life — typically 1,000,000 shots or 10 years. Every mounted cycle is counted at the machine and attributed to that mold, so remaining life, maintenance intervals and current machine location are always up to date, even when molds move between machines or plants.

Can our customer — the mold owner — see the data?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and this is a core design goal. Mold owners such as automotive OEMs get a dedicated, permission-scoped view showing only their own molds: shot counts, remaining life, maintenance history and current status — without exposing the supplier's other customers or commercial data.

Is deployment cloud, on-premise or both?

Accepted Answer

Both. The standard deployment is EU-hosted cloud with edge buffering, and a fully on-premise or hybrid deployment is available for organizations with strict data residency policies. The application, APIs and hardware behave identically in all deployment models.

What happens if the internet connection drops?

ZEQIO Edge devices buffer locally and continue counting. When connectivity returns, buffered data is transmitted with original timestamps, so shot counts and production history stay complete. Typical local buffering covers several days of continuous production.

How secure is the platform?

Accepted Answer

All traffic is TLS encrypted, edge firmware is signed and updated over the air, and devices only make outbound connections — no inbound ports are opened in your factory network. Access is role-based with per-asset permissions and full audit logging.

How long does implementation take?

A pilot on a handful of machines is typically live within two to three weeks, including hardware delivery and commissioning. Full plant rollouts are usually phased line by line over one to three months, depending on machine count and network readiness.

Do you integrate with our ERP or MES?

Yes. ZEQIO offers a documented REST API, webhooks and prebuilt connectors for common ERP and MES systems including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and Odoo. Order and article data flows in; production, downtime and quality data flows back.

What support do you provide?

Every customer gets a named technical contact, SLA-backed support during European business hours, and optional 24/7 coverage for multi-shift operations. Commissioning, operator training and periodic performance reviews are part of the standard onboarding.

Can we start small?

Yes. Most customers start with one production line or a group of strategic molds, prove the value with real numbers, and expand from there. The platform is designed so a pilot never becomes a throwaway installation.

Who owns the production data?

You do. Your production data belongs to your organization. ZEQIO processes it to deliver the service, never sells it, and provides full export at any time in open formats.
